Nabire - The Noken Community Development Unit of Nabire Regional Police has a slightly different daily life than other Police personnel's tasks. The unit related to community development in Papua is more diverse because of its education programme for the farmers and ranchers.
News of the day comes from Nabire. At the national holiday on Wednesday, August 11, 2021, Police Commissioner Attendant Afrets M Tatiratu, along with Police Chief Brigadier Djoko and Police Chief Brigadier Usman, visited the Sosorai farming group, led by Mr Kundrat Rumaikewi in Air Mandidi village of Samabusa.
Noken Community Development Unit inspected the cow mother and her calf. The total of cows are now 7, consisted of five cows given in 2018, and now has been bred into 7.
Mr Kundrat said that the cows gave many benefits. "Thank you for the support and the visit from the Noken Community Development Unit. These cows are now could be sold and eaten together".
Police Commissioner Attendant Afrets told Mr Kundrat to pay attention to the mother cow's feeds to prevent problems for breastfeeding calves. Also, pay attention and maintain the feed's volume for all calves and their mother.
Police Chief Brigadier Djoko also encouraged the Sosorai farming group and the community to maintain security and order in Nabire Regency, mainly in approaching the regency's electoral commission's plenary decision on Recount and not to be provoked by issues that could trigger a conflict.
All Noken Community Development personnel also appeal to the community to make the 20th National Sports Week (PON XX) in Papua a success so that the name of Papua could be a benchmark for other provinces as the organiser of PON XX.
