Director of Traffic Police Corps of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yugo, stated that officers would still check STRP (Worker's Registration Statement) for non-essential and non-critical workers during the extension of Level 4 PPKM (Community Activity Restriction Enforcement) from July 26 to August 2, 2021.
"The travel regulations remain the same, but we are waiting for the written instructions from the government", Police Grand Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yugo confirmed in Jakarta on Sunday night (25/7/2021).
The travel requirement check must be conducted to limit non-essential and non-critical workers. Now, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police gradually establishes insulation checkpoints since Emergency PPKM until the extension of Level 4 PPKM on July 21-25. There are 100 checkpoints meant to reduce mobility.
Previously, President Joko Widodo decides to extend Level 4 PPKM from July 26 to August 2, 2021, with several regulation adjustments related to public activity and mobility.
"I decided to continue Level 4 PPKM. However, we will conduct gradual and extra careful several adjustments related to public activities and mobilities", President Joko Widodo said in his press statement through the Presidential Secretariat YouTube channel in Jakarta on Sunday (25/7/2021).
President Jokowi stated that the policy to extend Level 4 PPKM has considered aspects such as health, economy, and society's dynamics.
