Tribratamews.polri.go.id – Mataram. Indonesian President, Joko Widodo, targets 41,294 West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) people to be vaccinated daily. However, NTB Regional Police and personnel managed to exceed the target and were able to vaccinate 44,002 people in one day.
"We administered 44,002 vaccine doses to people in various regions of NTB. So the flow of come and get injected run smoothly until the vaccine stock runs out, just like the instruction of Mr President", Chief of NTB Regional Police, Police Inspector General, on Saturday (11/9/2021).
Chief of NTB Regional Police explained that Armed Forces-Police and regional government inoculated 2,471 vaccine doses, 3,252 doses in Mataram city, 6,677 doses in West Lombok, and 5,732 doses in Central Lombok on Friday (10/9).
On the same day, 8,862 doses were administered to East Lombok regency, 2,806 doses were administered in North Lombok, 2,462 doses were administered in West Sumbawa, 5,308 doses were administered in Sumbawa, 1,621 doses were administered in Dompu, 2,612 doses were administered in Bima, and 2,019 doses were administered in Bima City.
"We can achieve the target thanks to the motivation from the Commander of the Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesian National Police who inspected Covid-19 situation in NTB on last Friday", the former Chief of PR and Press Division of Indonesian National Police explained.
Chief of NTB Regional Police also explained that, per September 9, active cases in NTB is 820 people. He then mentioned the downward trajectory from 25th to 36th week.
"There are also increase in recovering Covid-19 patients and decrease on Covid-19 deaths in the same period, along with the decreasing active cases", Chief of NTB Regional Police said.
Chief of NTB Regional Police said that recovering Covid-19 situation in NTB is because of cooperation between all elements, either community, apparatuses, or government. He said that the positivity rate in NTB is decreasing as well.
"The positivity rate is at 3.9 per cent. This decrease is along with the ramping up of testing", Chief of NTB Regional Police said.
Chief of NTB Regional Police also added that all personnel of the NTB Regional Police had been warned to keep intensifying testing, tracing, and treatment even though the Covid-19 situation is getting better. He also asked all people to implement Health Protocols (wearing face masks, washing both hands, and keeping distance) to minimise transmission possibilities.
"The bed occupancy rate (for Covid-19 patients) for NTB province is on 13.57 per cent. Thank God, this is the lowest point during Covid-19 handling in NTB", Chief of NTB Regional Police concluded.
