Eradicating Extortion, Police Confirms Operation to Arrest Thugs Continues

inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The police have arrested dozens of extortionists in the Tanjung Priok Port area. The police ensure that thuggery operations related to extortion are still ongoing, even though some have been arrested.


"So I say that it will continue; hopefully, it will work too. Currently, we are still waiting for reports from each of the Police Operations Bureau, Regional Police to Police Headquarters," explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of Indonesian National Police, Pol. Inspector General Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono, Tuesday (06/15).


"We are waiting for the quantity that can be revealed by the ranks. We are waiting for their report,” explained the Head of the Public Relations Division of National Police.


The Greater Jakarta Metro. Regional Police previously arrested dozens of extortionists in the Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) area of Tanjung Priok Port. As many as 50 thugs were arrested for allegedly being involved in extortion.


Eradication of extortion in the Tanjung Priok Port area after the National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, ordered his staff to take firm action against the perpetrators of thuggery.
