Eradicating Drugs, South Sumatra Regional Police Arrest Again One Suspect for Trafficking methamphetamine weighing 35 kg and thousands of Ecstasy Pills

The Special Team for the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Sulawesi Regional Police has again succeeded in discovering cases of drug trafficking in the province of South Sulawesi. This time the police managed to arrest a man suspected of being the perpetrator and confiscate 35 kilograms of evidence suspected of methamphetamine and thousands of ecstasy pills.

The arrest of a perpetrator took place at a hotel in Makassar, Friday, August 27, 2021 night. The special team arrested him and the evidence was immediately taken to the police station for a more in-depth investigation.

Meanwhile, evidence that is suspected of being methamphetamine is also being tested at the Forensic Laboratory (Labfor) of the South Sulawesi Regional Police to confirm it.

Previously, the Special Team for the Directorate of Drug Investigation of the South Sulawesi Regional Police had arrested two suspected drug dealers with 40 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine and 4,000 ecstasy pills on August 26, 2021.

The Head of Public Relations of the South Sulawesi Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner E Zulpan, said the two suspects were identified as SY and BJ. Both were arrested at a hotel on Jalan Jenderal Sudirman Makassar.

The suspect was known to be a resident of Tallo District, Makassar City, South Sulawesi. Meanwhile, SY is a resident from South Kalimantan.

So far, investigators are still investigating this case, whether there is a connection between the results of the disclosure of the case, including international network trafficking syndicates. A total of 75 kilograms of evidence seized were suspected of having methamphetamine and thousands of ecstasy pills.
