Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Supriadi said that members of the South Sumatra Regional Police as well as the City Resort Police and Resort Police ranks continue to improve drug eradication operations in the South Sumatra region.
"This is proof that we are not playing games in eradicating illicit drug trafficking in our area, especially in the first week of this month, the result is an increase in the disclosure of cases in this first week," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police.
The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police explained that in the first week of September 2021, they managed to discover 42 cases with 50 suspects with details of 44 dealers and 6 users.
"The data we received increased from the previous one in the fourth week of August 2021, which was able to reveal 38 cases with 49 suspects with details of 34 drivers and 15 users," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police.
"The evidence includes 841.77 grams of methamphetamine, 4.7 kilograms (Kg) of marijuana and 131 ecstasy pills. From the evidence that was confiscated, our members together with City Resort Police and Resort Police ranks managed to save 10,042 children of the nation," explained the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police.
"For this reason, the South Sumatra Regional Police are trying to combat illicit drug trafficking in order to keep drugs away from the younger generation. We continue to make efforts to disclose drug crime cases even in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This is in accordance with the instructions of the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief Inspector General Toni to continue fighting drug trafficking," said the Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police.
