East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Transforms Helicopter Hangar into Tourism and Education Spot

East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police transformed an unused helicopter hangar into a tourism and education object for the kids and public at Penfui village, Kupang regency. The new recreation spot at the city centre is named D'Ranch-88 Presisi Polda NTT Tourism Garden. Previously, the location was the hangar owned by Air Police.

After being unused for a long time because the helicopter has been pulled back to Jakarta, the deserted hangar was used as the educational park. This place is also being used to maintain the professionalism of Samapta Unit personnel and also the alternative education place for the schoolchildren to know more about the animal world.

"This place is utilised not only to maintain Samapta Unit personnel professionalism but also to project the place as the educational alternative place for the schoolchildren to know more about the animal world. To me, this place must be managed well so maintain Police professionalism and creating new alternative education place for the people", Chief of NTT Regional Police, Police Inspector General Lotharia Latif, said.

The place was being utilised for all people and communities such as the begleithund and Schutzhund lovers. "This tourism park is utilised to educate kids and become the alternative recreation spot for the Kupang people", he explained.

Meanwhile, the Vice Regent of Kupang, Jerry Manafe, thanked the NTT Regional Police who made Kupang regency move forward by the establishment of a new tourism place named D'Ranch-88 Presisi.

"Kupang regency finally could feel that our kids could be brought here to know the animal world, especially horses, sogs, and also knowing the Samapta Unit more that touches the public", he concluded.
