inp.polri.go.id – Kupang. The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police raided a nightclub in Maumere area, Sikka Regency, NTT. From the raid, the police found the place employed 17 girls.
Head of Public Affairs of the NTT Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Rishian K. Budhiaswanto explained there were 17 girls who should not work at nightclubs. From the initial data collection, the girls came from areas in West Java.
The age of the girls who are employed are from 14-17 years old. In fact, two of them are pregnant.
"We carried out the raids after receiving reports from the public," said Police First Inspector Fernando.
According to Panit 4 Sub-Directorate of Directorate of General Crimes of NTT Regional Police, currently the girls stay at Children and Women Protection Institution. The plan, they will be sent back to their original areas in West Java. The owners of the nightclubs will be called and questioned.
