Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Kupang. The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif gave a stern warning to members of the East Nusa Tenggara Police and the ranks of the Resort Police related to drugs.

The two-star police general confirmed that he would take firm action against police members involved in drugs.

Avoid drugs. Never use or distribute drugs. "I will take firm action, and it could lead to dismissal if any member is involved in drugs, either as users, dealers or owners of (drugs)," said Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif, Saturday (10/23/21).

Drugs became the police leadership's attention, so he hoped that no members were involved. "I will give strict sanctions if anyone is involved, and Disrespectful Dismissal (PTDH) from members of the National Police can be carried out," said the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief.

Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif hopes that members of the National Police at the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police and the Police in the ranks stay away from drugs and carry out their duties according to existing rules and regulations.

"If someone violates it, I will immediately remove it," said Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif.

The Regional Police Chief continued that everyone who was elected to become a police officer was not forced, but anyone who was aware of choosing a profession to become a police officer.

The police do not call us to be members of the police, but we who want to become police members must obey and follow the existing rules. Do not make deviations, explained Inspector General Pol. Lotharia Latif.

"If there are members of the National Police who commit violations, they are ready to accept the consequences," said Two-Star General.

The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief demands that every member of the National Police must work and be responsible professionally. He also emphasized that members of the National Police should always avoid extra actions or extra words in the field. All actions must be carried out following applicable SOPs or procedures.

The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief reiterated that if there are actions by members of the National Police who have robbed the rights of citizens, he will follow up on these individuals to the end.

"In any action, we must be professional. For example, suppose in our actions we seize the community's rights, even though members of the National Police arrest and detain people according to their mistakes. In that case, it is protected by law, but the suspect is also protected by law and at the same time gets his rights; we must respect and obey this," concluded the Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif.
