East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Forms Special Team to Investigate Alleged Violations of Health Protocol in Semau, which was attended by the East Nusa Tenggara Governor

Inspector General Lotharia Latif, has formed a special team to investigate cases of alleged health protocol violations that went viral on social media during the inauguration of the Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) in Semau last Friday (08/27/21).

Regarding the alleged viral video on Semau Island, the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief has formed a team and then ordered the team to move, said the Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Rishian Krisna B to reporters in Kupang, Monday (08/30/21).

According to the Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police, the team formed today began to move to communicate and coordinate with the COVID-19 handling task force. After coordinating, only more accurate data and information can be obtained regarding the events on Semau Island. The Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police said the incident was now a serious concern of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief.

"It's just starting to coordinate and communicate, so we'll just have to wait for the results, we'll report back later," said the Head of Public Relations of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police.

Previously it was reported that a viral video on social media showed crowds and alleged violations of health protocols during the inauguration of the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Financial Access Acceleration Team (TPAKD) on Friday, August 27, 2021 at Otan Tourism Beach, Otan Village, Semau District, Kupang Regency.

The event was attended by East Nusa Tenggara Governor Viktor Bungtilu Laiskodat, East Nusa Tenggara Deputy Governor Josef Nae Soi and almost all regents and mayors throughout East Nusa Tenggara.

The event was also attended by a number of local artists and several regional heads actually sang along without paying attention to health protocols.
