Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Kupang. The East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police formed an Integrated Team to uncover the case of discovering the bodies of a woman and a baby buried at the site of the Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) excavation project in Alak District, Kupang City, East Nusa Tenggara.
East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Lotharia Latif said that this case was still under investigation. However, he said that the Regional Police's Directorate of Criminal Investigation Agency had formed an Integrated Team, Friday (11/12/21).
"This case is also my concern, and I have formed an Integrated Team to uncover this case," he said.
This Two-Star General said that this case is a case that must be immediately disclosed, not only by the East Nusa Tenggara Regional Police but also by the relevant Resort Police.
Additional evidence he has gathered, and he hopes that there is no perfect crime in the case.
"But I think it will be revealed, and the important thing is that we can investigate it seriously and with the scientific investigation method," he added.
Meanwhile, the Alak Sector Police Chief, Police Commissioner Tatang Panjaitan, admitted that it was still difficult for his party to reveal the identities of the bodies of the woman and baby suspected of being the mother and child were found wrapped in plastic.
Tatang admitted that the condition of the bodies of the two bodies that had been damaged made it difficult for the police to identify, let alone take fingerprints from the two victims.
Tatang also added that at least four reports relating to missing persons who have not returned home had been received by them in developing this case.
"But we are still checking and investigating the four missing persons' information," he explained.
For now, his party is still waiting for the examination results of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) samples from the two bodies.
