East Kalimantan Regional Police Holds Press Conference Regarding Disclosure of Inter-Provincial and Inter-national Robbery Cases

The Chief Deputy of East Kalimantan Regional Police Police Brigadier General Hariyanto accompanied by the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of East Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Subandi and the Head of Public Relations Division of the East Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, directly led the press conference on the success of the East Kalimantan Regional Police in arresting the robbers involved in the attack committed theft with violence (curat) in several provinces including East Kalimantan to Malaysia, which was held at the Main Door of the East Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarters, Friday (20/8/2021).

The Chief Deputy of the East Kalimantan Regional Police explained that with the arrest of the specialist robbers of elite houses, one of the perpetrators, namely the initials SD, was successfully arrested in Balikpapan. The perpetrators carried out robberies in two locations, namely the Balikpapan Regency Housing. First, they entered the house and then locked up the owner of the house.

"From the two crime scenes (TKP), there was a reporter who reported to the Balikpapan City Police. We conducted an investigation, found one person with the initials SD, and arrested four other perpetrators: SD, JI, IS, and ASH. We arrested the four perpetrators in Sumatra, precisely in Riau Islands Province in The island area crossed from Batam with the help of the Balerang City Police. Thank God, all five people were arrested," added the Chief Deputy of East Kalimantan Regional Police.

In his confession, the robbers also acted in Surabaya (East Java), Kuningan (West Java), Balerang (Riau Islands), including in Malaysia there were three crime scenes, namely Johor Baru and Kuala Lumpur. These are the perpetrators who have committed the same crime as those who specialize in theft at several crime scenes because this is between islands and between countries," said the Chief Deputy of the East Kalimantan Regional Police.
