Nico Afinta together with Forkopimda East Java, the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Pangdam V Brawijaya National Amred Forces Suharyanto and the Head of the East Java High Prosecutor's Office held a ceremonial release of the "Merdeka Export" agricultural commodity exports in 2021 by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Virtually, which was held at the Surabaya Container Terminal.
Also attending the event were Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Secretary General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Chairman of BBKP Surabaya, Director of PT. The ceremonial activity of releasing the export of agricultural commodities "Merdeka Exports" in 2021. It is one of the efforts to improve the country's economy during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
In a virtual video, the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. Giving directions, among others, that today the export of agricultural commodities is carried out simultaneously from 17 export gates through airports and sea ports in various regions in Indonesia.
As a momentum to strengthen exports of Indonesian agricultural commodities and mark the revival of the national economy in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, said President Joko Widodo, while giving directions via virtual video.
The President also gave the highest appreciation to farmers, ranchers, planters, agribusiness players, other agricultural stakeholders who during the pandemic worked hard not only to meet the food needs of the community but also succeeded in increasing exports of agricultural products.
“The agricultural sector is one sector that is able to survive in the pandemic era. Agricultural exports in 2020 rose 15.70 percent compared to 2019. It is hoped that in the future, this national economic improvement activity can be a trigger in various economic sectors so that the economic growth target can be achieved during the Covid-19 pandemic," concluded the President.
