East Java Regional Police's Directorate of Water and Air said the police carried out early checks to be better prepared in the event of a disaster, both in terms of personnel and specialities.
"All personnel from the SAR are ready; later, they will still be assisted by other Poldairud members. Then there is vital equipment such as rubber boats which are ready for now. There are 18 rubber boats and outboard engines," explained the Intermediate Officer of the East Java Regional Police.
In addition, the police also checked marine SAR equipment, namely long-distance buoys, cutting tools and door openers that were jammed, doors that needed to be forced open.
"We have also prepared all the equipment for underwater equipment, boxcars too. Hopefully, East Java, we will provide security, the term is safe, comfortable, there is no flood so that later this equipment will not need to be used," said East Java Regional Police's Directorate of Water and Air Police.
In addition to checking personnel readiness, his party also carried out early detection of potential disasters in Bojonegoro, Gresik Jember, and several other areas.
