East Java Regional Police Ready to Support Indonesian National Board for Disaster Management to Help Evacuate Victims of the Mount Semeru Eruption Disaster

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Lumajang. East Java Regional Police Chief, Pol. Inspector-General Nico Afinta said he was ready to support the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) by deploying support personnel to help evacuate victims of the Mount Semeru eruption disaster in the Lumajang Regency. "The evacuation posts must be added to accommodate the affected victims; the Police are ready to help," explained the Regional Police Chief, Sunday (12/5/21).

Pol. Inspector-General Nico Afinta also said that his party would deploy support personnel in terms of security issues related to safe lanes for use and traffic. "Police have made a warning banner where the location is safe and not," explained the Regional Police Chief.

East Java Governor Khofifah reminded to always coordinate with the Regency or City of Malang regarding the handling of emergency search and rescue. "Coordination and communication must continue to be carried out at the district/city and provincial levels," explained the Governor.

Then the health team is also always mobile, not just stationary for first aid assistance. "Evacuation and rehabilitation activities must be carried out together so that the community can feel calm and safe," explained the Governor.
