East Java Regional Police Ready to Strengthen Micro PPKM

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. East Java Regional Police is ready to strengthen the implementation of Micro-Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM). This is in accordance with the policy of the central government. Micro PPKM will be tightened from June 22 – July 5 2021.
The central government has decided to tighten the Micro PPKM. Following up on the central government decision, East Java Regional Police stated they are ready to oversee the strengthening of Micro PPKM in the East Java region.
The strengthening of Micro PPKM is stated in the Instruction of Ministry of Home Affair, related to office or workplace activities. Minister of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform has also published a circular letter to the ministry and other agencies.
For BUMN (state-owned enterprise) and BUMD (regional owned enterprise) in the red zone, it is regulated to work from home (WFH) or 75 per cent WFH. Meanwhile, in the non-red zone, 50 per cent of WFH and 50 per cent of work in the office or WFO are regulated with strict implementation of health protocols.
Then the activities of restaurants, cafes, food stalls, street vendors, which are outside market area, in markets, streets, or shopping centres and malls, the occupation is allowed maximum of 25% od the capacity; and the rest is advised to take away. The takeaway is also limited to 20.00 Indonesia Eastern Time.
Head of Public Affairs of East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko said his party is ready to oversee the strengthening of Micro PPKM.
"This is important to suppress the spread of Covid-19. Later there will also be raids to discipline the community in implementing health protocols. Later it will involve the Municipality Police (Satpol PP) and will be assisted by the Indonesia National Armed Forces and Indonesia National Police," he explained.
Head of Public Affairs of East Java Regional Police also added, in overseeing the implementation of this Micro PPKM, all policies will refer to the zoning of each RT/RW (neighbourhood). If the RT/RW has red zone status, a micro-lockdown will be applied. It will also provide assistance to people who are self-isolating.
"Later, there will also be restrictions on community mobility at micro level for RT/RW whose status is red zone," he added.
Previously, the Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian again issued the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction No. 13/2021 regarding the extension of Micro PPKM. Different from the previous PPKM rules, in this Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs, the government regulates many restrictions related to red zone areas.
Among other things, RTs with red zones must close children's playgrounds and other public places proportionally. In addition, the implementation of work from home is 75 per cent for regencies/cities with red zones.
Not only that, but face-to-face learning activities in the red zone are also abolished, which means [learning actitivities] is 100 per cent done online. Then places of worship are also advised to be closed in red zone districts/cities. People are asked to worship at homes.
The rest are still arranged as previously. For example, shopping centres are allowed to remain open until 21.00 Indonesia Western Time with a capacity of 50 per cent. Then restaurants are also allowed to open at 50 per cent capacity. Art, social and cultural activities are also allowed to open with a capacity of 25 per cent.
