East Java Regional Police Forms Special Team to Investigate Alleged Abuse of 25 Schoolgirls

Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police formed a special team to investigate allegations of sexual abuse by the owner of the SPI school foundation in Batu. They have also made legal constructs and court titles for sexual crimes.


"This week, investigators have also started examining several victims for deepening. We will also coordinate with the National Commission for Child Protection (KOMNAS PA)," explained the Head of Public Relations of the East Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Gatot Repli Handoko, Monday, 31 May 2021.


For the suspected JE perpetrators, the Head of PR said that it had been scheduled afterwards. The person concerned will be summoned after the interview of the victim is complete. "We will summon JE. Later, after an examination of the victims is carried out," he explained.


Asked about the evidence in the alleged obscenity case, the Head of the PR was reluctant to reveal it. He only said that all the evidence was with the investigators.


It is known, Komnas PA reported the owner of a well-known educational foundation in Batu City with the initials JE to the East Java Regional Police Report Centre. The report was made on the allegation of sexual abuse against 25 schoolgirls.


Based on Komnas PA's records, JE had committed sexual abuse since 2009 and continued until 2020. A total of three victims had confessed and reported to the East Java Regional Police.


Apart from allegations of sexual abuse, JE was also suspected of committing physical and verbal abuse to students. Apart from that, he is also concerned about the economic exploitation of the students.
