Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. Entry and Exit Permit (SIKM) will be enforced for Bangkalan people who want to enter or exit Surabaya. The enforcement was stated by Bangkalan regent R. Abdul Latif Amin Imron during his visit to Surabaya and Madura Region Development Board (BPWS) in Bangkalan and East Java Regional Leader Communication Forum on Monday (21/6/2021).
Starting on Monday, June 21, 2021, all people crossing Suramadu or departing from Kamal ferry harbour have to issue the SIKM.
SIKM was prioritised for Surabaya-Bangkalan commuters such as fruit and vegetable sellers, labours, informal workers, and private or government employees.
SIKM can be issued by providing negative result of rapid antigen test and statement from the workplace or other statements according to their activities from the related parties. "SIKM is issued to avoid the crowds in Surabaya. People entering Bangkalan from Surabaya would also be insulated from Surabaya", Bangkalan regent said.
The enforcement of SIKM is expected to gain proactive measures by the people to conduct tracing and tracking because they can come to the hospital or public health centre to do a free antigen test. "So people do not need to go in crowds to the Bangkalan regency office. They can go to their local hospital or public health centre, and each district would issue SIKM", he added.
Abdul Latif said that the Bangkalan regency government had been issued 702 SIKM. The Bangkalan regency government and East Java Regional Leader Communication Forum address the appeal to the public on adhering to Health Protocols. "We want to save the people from the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, the public should be wise in dealing with this. This effort requires cooperation from all walks of life", R. Abdul Latif said, accompanied by Chief of East Java Regional Police, Commander of 5th/Brawijaya Military Region, and Regional Secretary of East Java Province.
