Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Surabaya. The East Java Regional Police dispatched a cyber team to arrest perpetrators of convalescent plasma fraud at the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) in East Java. Information about the fraud was obtained by the police from the East Java's Indonesian Red Cross.

"We have deployed the Cyber Team to patrol social media to hunt down convalescent plasma fraud perpetrators," explained Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police, Grand Commissioner Farman.

Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police explained, East Java's Indonesian Red Cross said there were convalescent plasma fraudsters, deceiving victims through social media. The perpetrators promise to provide convalescent blood to the customer, by redeeming the money by transfer.

"So, for victims who want to get convalescent plasma, they have to pay by transfer to the perpetrator's account," explained Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police.

To make it easier to uncover this case, the Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police invites people who are victims to immediately report to the police.

Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police advised the public not to easily believe if there were parties who helped donate convalescent plasma, but demanded a ransom of fantastic sums of money.

"The public must be careful if there are donors who ask for money, and report them if they encounter this fraudulent mode," explained Director of the Crime Investigation Unit in East Java Regional Police.
