Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Cianjur. The Disaster Victim Identification Team of the National Police managed to identify 124 bodies of the Cianjur earthquake, where 59 of them are children under the age of 15.
"Based on our current data, the number of children died from the earthquake is 59," explained the Head of The Disaster Victim Identification, Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi during a press conference at Sayang Hospital, Cianjur, Thursday (11/24)
Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi said that overall, the team had received 131 body bags, with 130 of them are the bodies who are still intact and one bag containing only body parts.
The 123 bodies that have been identified have been handed over to their respective families.
Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi then succeeded in identifying another body that matched the antemortem data number 63, identified as Nining (64). The victim was identified based on her fingerprints and medical records.
Commissioner Ahmad Fauzi appealed to people who have lost their family member to immediately report to the Disaster Victim Identification Team Ante Mortem Post at Sayang Cianjur Hospital forensic by bringing documents such as dental medical records to the last photo of the victim.
