During Operation Thugs, North Sumatra Regional Police Managed to Secure 210 Peoples

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Medan. The North Sumatra Regional Police (Polda Sumut) and their ranks managed to arrest hundreds of thugs who often disturbed residents from various locations. In total, a total of 210 thugs were arrested.

Head of Public Relations of North Sumatra Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi explained that hundreds of thugs had been secured from operations carried out by the Regional Police and the National Police peers.

A total of three police stations in North Sumatra are actively carrying out thuggery operations, namely the Coal Police, Medan Police and Belawan Harbor Police.

The three National Police are the most involved in taking action and securing the thugs and will process the hundreds of thugs if proven to have committed a crime.

"If a criminal is found, we will process it, then conduct coaching as a preventive effort, of course we will also do it," said Pol. Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi.



The Head of Public Relations of North Sumatra Regional Police said the operation was carried out following the instructions of the National Police Chief, General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo, regarding the action of thuggery and extortion. This operation is in accordance with the STR of the National Police Chief Number: 463/VI/PAM.3.2/2021, dated June 11, 2021, concerning the crackdown on thuggery and extortion.



"It is hoped that with the operation of thuggery and extortion, the community can carry out all their activities with a sense of security and comfort," concluded the North Sumatran Regional Police's Intermediate Officer.
