This was mentioned by Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo while leading morning parade of infrastructure and facilities readiness for forest and land fire prevention at Central Kalimantan Regional Police Headquarter field, Tuesday (08/10/21).
The Two-Star General explained the five people who had been named as suspects were proven to have deliberately cleared land by burning.
"The suspects cleared the land to be used for farming," Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo explained.
Chief of Central Kalimantan Regional Police advised community to jointly protect forest and land. Especially in August - September, Central Kalimantan enters dry season.
