Of these, 12 case files have been declared complete or P-21 by the prosecutor.
Directorate of Special Crimes Investigation of Riau Regional Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Ferry Irawan said that 20 cases of forest and land fires were handled by the Riau Regional Police.
There are 20 cases with 24 suspects, said Pol. Grand Commissioner Ferry Irawan, Tuesday (08/24/21).
The Riau Regional Police Special Criminal Investigation Directorate handled a forest and land fire case with one suspect with an area of 37 hectares of burned land. The suspect's file is complete and the suspect has been handed over to the Public Prosecutor (JPU).
Indragiri Hilir Police handled 5 cases with 7 suspects with an area of 18 hectares burned.
According to the Riau Regional Police Intermediary Officer, two cases are still at the investigation stage, one case is in stage 1 (delegating files to the prosecutor's office), and 2 cases are in stage II.
Then, the Pelalawan Resort Police handled 2 cases with 2 suspects. One case is still under investigation, and one case is in phase II.
"The area of the burned land reached 1.9 hectares of land," said the Riau Police Directorate of Special Crimes Investigation.
The Bengkalis Resort Police handled 3 cases with three individual suspects, and the burned land area reached 3.5 hectares. All case investigations have been completed.
Furthermore, the Siak Resort Police handled 1 case with 1 suspect with an area of 0.04 hectares of burned land.
Dumai Resort Police have 2 cases with 2 suspects, and 10.25 hectares of burned land, said the former Solok Resort Police Chief.
Meanwhile, the Meranti Islands Police are investigating 1 case with 1 suspect whose investigation has been completed. The burned area is 5 hectares.
Finally, the Kampar Resort Police handled 2 with 2 suspects. One case is in stage I, and the rest is in stage II. There, recorded 1.5 hectares of land burned.
