Tribratanews.polri.go.id – Pekanbaru. As of early August, the Riau Regional Police was handling 20 cases of forest and land fires (Karhutla) in Bumi Lancang Kuning. Of the 20 cases, 260.19 hectares of land were burned.
Head of Public Affairs of Riau Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Sunarto, explained of the 20 cases, his party had named 24 people as suspects.
"2 cases of phase I, 6 cases are still under investigation and 12 cases are already in phase II," Head of Public Affairs of Riau Regional Police explained, Tuesday (08/10/21).
Head of Public Affairs of Riau Regional Police explained the most cases were handled by Inhil Resort Police, 5 cases with 7 suspects. Then Bengkalis Resort Police with 3 cases and 3 suspects.
Rohil Resort Police, Kampar and Dumai Resort Police, each of them handled 2 cases with 2 suspects.
For Directorate of Special Crimes of Riau Regional Police, Siak Resort Police, Meranti Resort Police, and Pelalawan Resort Police, each of them handled 1 case and 1 suspect.
Meanwhile, Rokan Hulu Resort Police handled 1 case with 3 suspects. Meanwhile, in other three ranks, Inhu Resort Police, Pekanbaru City Resort Police and Kuansing Resort Police, there are no cases of forest and land fire.
All the suspects are individuals, not from the company.
