Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The House of Representative positively responded to the establishment of the Drug Resilient Village initiated by the Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, ras way to fight against drug trafficking in Indonesia.
Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives Supriansa mentioned the establishment of the Drug Resileient Village initiated by the Chief of Indonesia National Police was smart idea to protect community from the dangerous of drugs.
"We from Golkar Party really appreciate the Chief of Indonesia National Police’s smart idea to create strong defense against drug trafficking in the community, which is called the Drug Resilient Village," Supriansa said to reporters, Tuesday (/15/6/2021).
He mentioned drugs are indeed very damaging and worrying, because it destroys people's life, especially the next generation. In fact, the government has actually declared war on drugs. "That means we have to gather all strength of the nation to fight against drug trafficking," he said.
Another member of the House of Representatives Commission III, Santoso, said the same thing. This Democrat Party politician agrees with the establishment of the Drug Resilient Village as concrete step from the police to fight against drugs.
"Strongly agree, drugs are the enemy of the nation, not just a slogan, but must be proven by concrete actions, one of which is the establishment of a Drug Resilient Village throughout Indonesia," Santoso said.
Currently, he said, drug trafficking is increasingly worrying and even chronic. Almost all areas have been penetrated by drugs. "Not only in big cities, drugs have entered the villages. Therefore, eradication must be massive and done synergistic between law enforcement and the community," he said.
The Chief of Indonesia National General Listyo Sigit Prabowo previously instructed all regional police chiefs to form a Drug Resilient Village in their respective regions.
This village can be formed by local government, religious leaders, community leaders and related stakeholders. This is done to detect drug trafficking in the area where you live. By dong that way, the prevention system can be maximized.
"We have to immediately inform the [drug] circulation so that later we can catch it. We hope we have power to prevent and deterrence," Sigit said after releasing the disclosure of the 1.1 ton crystal methamphetamine case at Greater Jakarta metropolitan Regional Police, Monday (06/14/2021).
