Indonesian House of Representatives Supports the Reevaluation of RF Plate Number Use by the Police

The Indonesian House of Representatives supports the policy plan of the National Police Chief, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who will act upon the vehicles who used the infamous RF number plates. This plate was known only used by government officials and in many cases, act arrogantly in the road.

The support was stated by the Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian Parliament I, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad in Jakarta, reported from Jawapos.com, Monday (31/1/22).

“Of course, the policy has been discussed on an in-depth study. Moreover, we can see that there are a lot of RF plates roaming around the streets, which somehow makes us kind of confused, because of how easy the plate was given. Because in truth, to get that plate number is not as easy as people think, there are certain qualifications that needs to be completed,” explained Dasco.

According to him, the policy of giving and using the RF plates has been around for a long time. Not only when General Listyo Sigit Prabowo served as the Indonesian National Police Chief.

"So we appreciate that the National Police Chief decides to reevaluate the use of that plates," said the Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives for Economic and Financial Coordinator Sector.
