Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Serang. The Banten Regional Police distributed 1,000 food packages to tourism groups in Banten Province. This is a form of the Banten Regional Police's concern for the people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The distribution of the basic food packages was carried out symbolically led by the Directorate of Security Intelligence of the Banten Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Suhandana Cakrawijaya on Lagundi Beach, Cinangka District, Serang Regency.

"Today, I represent the Chief of Banten Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rudy Heriyanto Adi Nugroho, distributing 1,000 food packages to the tourism community in the Banten Regional Police jurisdiction," explained the Directorate of Security Intelligence of the Banten Regional Police.

"And this is a form of concern and concern from the Chief of Banten Regional Police to the people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, especially the groups of tourism actors," he continued.

The Directorate of Security Intelligence of the Banten Regional Police also added that the distribution of essential food packages is one of the efforts to ease the economic burden for tourism actors.

"This group of tourism actors is one of the sectors most affected during the Implementation of Micro Restrictions (PPKM). So with the distribution of basic food packages, it is hoped that it will lighten their burden,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ade Ervin as chairman of the Tirta Wisata Tourism Rescue Agency (Balawista), expressed his gratitude for the assistance provided by the Banten Regional Police to the Tourism Person Group.

“This is a form of attention from the Chief of Banten Regional Police for tourism actors in Banten. For that, we thank you very much. Especially amid conditions like this, these tourism actors feel a tremendous impact, slumped after this level 4 pandemic, "he said.

"And this assistance is proof that the concern of the Chief of Banten Regional Police in maintaining the synergy between the police and the community is quite good in the Banten province," he continued.

Finally, he hopes that the COVID-19 pandemic will end quickly, so that tourism actors, tourism communities and tourism entrepreneurs can return to normal.

"And hopefully, this will be a concern for the regional government and the central government because if the Chief of Regional Police has stepped down, the local government and the central government should also step down," he concluded.

Also present at the handover were representatives from the Tirta Tourism Rescue Agency (Balawista), Tourism Awareness Group (Pokdarwis), Pesona Indonesian Generation (Genpi), Tourism Awareness Society (Masata), Local Tour Guides and the Indonesian Tour Guide Association (HPI).
