Members of the Water and Air Police Directorate (Ditpolairud) of the NTB Police (Polda NTB) broke through mountains and forests to invite the residents to be vaccinated against Covid-19.
The effort in accelerating vaccination is a requirement for next March MotoGP.
All the main officials of Polda NTB were ordered by the NTB Police Chief (Kapolda NTB) to intensify vaccinations in the Bima Regency area which was still at 20%, far below the other districts in NTB.
Among the PJU that carried out the order, the Director of Polairud NTB, Commissioner Kobul Syahrin Ritonga has some interesting stories.
This middle-ranking officer with the rank of three-jasmine on his shoulders was tireless and didn't care about his high title. He broke through the steep mountains and thick forest that stretched out in Ujung Kalate Hamlet, Nipa Village, Ambalawi District, Bima Regency.
Along with the Vaccination Battalion Team, consisting of the TNI and Polri as well as the health workers, they had to travel a long and tiring journey, to meet the residents who are scattered in the mountainous area. The humanist action, whether it is tiring or not, became the frame that the Director of Polairud Polda NTB lived through.
"Thankfully, we have vaccinated about 150 people in the mountains," stated the Director of Polairud Polda NTB, Friday (25/2/22).
The Director of Polairud Polda NTB said, that the vaccine acceleration service must be done by visiting residents in the fields. If Ditpolairud NTB decided to wait for the people to return to their homes, it is certainly impossible to carry out vaccinations, because they are farming and staying in their respective fields.
"They will only return to their homes after the harvest period, about 4 months from now," said the Director of Polairud Polda NTB.
