Tribratanews.polri.go.id. The Chief of Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo asked the Regional Leader Coordinating Forum (Forkopimda) of West Kalimantan Province to disseminate Centralized Isolation (Isoter) facilities to residents maximally.

This was conveyed by Sigit while chairing a meeting with the Commander of Indonesian National Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, with the Regional Leader Coordinating Forum (Forkopimda) of West Kalimantan Province, Wednesday (8/9/2021). According to Sigit, the socialization of the use of Isoter to the community must include the local government, community leaders, and traditional leaders.

"A good explanation by adjusting local customs can provide peace to the community when they invite to Isoter," said Sigit in his briefing.

According to the former Chief of Banten Regional Police, some areas in West Kalimantan have a relatively low level of use for Isoter facilities. However, Sigit, with Isoter being treated, people exposed to the coronavirus have a high recovery rate. Moreover, considering that Isoter has more adequate facilities and is directly supervised by health workers.

In addition to maximizing the utilization of the Isoter facility, the former Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police also emphasized to the Regional Leader Coordinating Forum (Forkopimda) of West Kalimantan to strengthen the Covid-19 control strategy.

Among them are strict health protocols (Prokes) such as wearing masks, washing hands and maintaining distance, strengthening 3T (Tracing, Testing and Treatment), and the acceleration of mass vaccination programs.

Sigit explained, with the strengthening of the Covid-19 control strategy, an easing of community activities will accompany it. This is following the assessment issued by the Ministry of Health (Kemenkes).

That way, continued Sigit, the wheels of the community's economy will return to work after being hit by the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, Sigit emphasized that a Covid-19 control strategy must accompany the easing of residents' activities, and it is the shared responsibility of all elements.

"When the Covid-19 case can be controlled, then the area will automatically receive easing, and the community's economic activities can return to running better. But, of course, this is the joint responsibility of the Government, both central and regional, and the whole community," said Sigit.

To note, amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the Indonesian economy has started to grow by 7.07 per cent. Meanwhile, the West Kalimantan economy began to grow by 10.81.

To further strengthen monitoring, Sigit said, it is necessary to use information technology, such as the PeduliLindung application, which must be installed at community activities.

"These various features play an important role in supporting the government's efforts to carry out health surveillance (observation) and facilitate a new life order," said Sigit.

Not to forget, Sigit also reminded Regional Leader Coordinating Forum (Forkopimda) to continue distributing social assistance (Bansos) from the Government to people whose economies are most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In this case, Sigit said, the absorption of the budget must also be maximized.
