The G20 Delegates Praised Penglipuran Village in Bali for Its Cleanliness

The G20 Summit in Bali has made it possible for tourists to visit various tourist sites in the area around Bali. One of the tourist sites is Penglipuran Village, in the Kubu Village, Bangli Regency.

The village is known for its cleanliness, and this is one of the selling ponts that makes the village interesting to visit. It was also reported that the delegates of G20 Summit have visited this village in early September.

They admitted that they were amazed by Penglipuran Village. They considered that the village community was very concerned with environmental cleanliness and neatly preserved the cultural heritage of their ancestors.

Penglipuran Traditional Village Kelian, I Wayan Budiarta, said that his village was helped by the Bangli Regency Government to pave the road entrance to the village to welcome the guests from the G20 Summit.

In addition, there is also a trained tourism management team formed by the Customary Council. "They are trained personnel, ranging from sweepers, ticket officers, security officers. And most importantly is that all of them are the local residents here," said Budiarta.

Furthermore, Wayan Budiarta said that Penglipuran Village is an ancestral heritage from the 13th century, and they intent to safeguard this heritage. The Indonesian government itself has made this traditional village a tourist spot since 1993.
