Counter-Terrorism unit Densus 88 managed to apprehend two suspected terrorists in Tapanuli, North Sumatra.
"Saturday, January 29, 2022, Counter-Terrorism unit Densus 88 of the National Police have arrested two suspected terrorists," explained the Public Information Bureau (Karo Penmas) of the Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Dr. H. Ahmad Ramadhan, S.H., M.Sc., M.H., at Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Monday (31/1/22).
Karo Penmas said that the two terrorist suspects are initialed RMP who was arrested in South Tapanuli and initialed AW who was arrested in Central Tapanuli.
The two suspects, he explained, are from the Jamaah Islamiyah network.
Even so, Karo Penmas admitted that he could not provide further details on the case, including the details of the evidence and the development of the follow-up.
"So the RMP were apprehended in South Tapanuli and AW in Central Tapanuli, both from Jamaah Islamiyah network. We cannot give any details more than that," explained Karo Penmas, regarding the arrest of terrorists.
