Special Detachment (Densus) Counter-Terrorism 88 arrested four alleged members of terrorist groups in several areas of Central Java.
The Head of Public Relations (Kabid Humas) of Central Java Regional Police (Polda Jateng), Commissioner Iqbal M. Iqbal Alqudusy stated that four individuals alleged terrorist were secured by Densus Counter-Terrorism 88 in Sukoharjo, Batang, and Sragen.
“We have indeed apprehended four suspects related to terrorism networks in Sukoharjo, Batang, and Sragen,” he said to the journalists in Semarang, Monday (14/2/2022). Alqudusy adds that among those four suspects, two were arrested in Batang, one in Sukoharjo, and one in Sragen.
Commissioner Iqbal did not give more details related to the suspects or the terrorist networks.
“For further information, it would be stated by Divhumas Polri and Densus 88,” said Kabid Humas Polda Jateng.
Meanwhile, Sukoharjo Police Chief (Kapolres Sukoharjo) AKBP Wahyu Nugroho Setyawan, said that one of the suspects were residents of Ngunut Hamlet, Bentakan Village, Baki District, Sukoharjo Regency.
“He was arrested at around 10:00 WIB. We were just asked to secure the location,” concluded Kapolres Sukoharjo.
