General Commander (Danjen) Elite Forces Command (Kopassus), Brigadier General Widi Prasetijono was having a conversation with Central Java Police Chief, Inspector General Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H, S.St, M.K., at Central Java Police Headquarters, Semarang, Wednesday (2/2/2022).
This meeting is Danjen Kopassus way of saying goodbye to the Central Java Police Chief after previously serving as Kasdam IV/Diponegoro. On this occasion, the Danjen Kopassus conveyed the importance of the synergy between the TNI and the Police in maintaining the unity of the Republic of Indonesia and the cooperation between the two institutions must continue to be developed.
"Actually, my visit to the Kapolda is to say goodbye, because I was served as Kasdam here. Then on January 31, I was sworn in as Danjen Kopassus," said the Danjen Kopassus.
The Danjen Kopassus, who will soon assume the rank of a two-star general, stated that during the meeting, plans for joint activities by TNI-Polri were also discussed with the Kapolda. According to him, the synergy of the security forces is very much needed to ensure the unity and integrity of the nation.
“Other than saying goodbye, I took this opportunity to stay in touch with him (Central Java Police Chief), which at the same time, we are also increasing the TNI-Polri synergy,” said Danjen Kopassus
“We (TNI-Polri) have to be more intimate, including having a joint activity. What is important is, TNI-Polri must always have a tight bond,” Danjen Kopassus concluded.
