Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. Directorate of Drug Criminal Offences of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police discovered the offence of the no-permit and illegal drug production and distribution in the Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY).
Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, Police General Commissioner Agus Andrianto, said that the illegal drug factory was producing various potent drugs banned by the Indonesian Food and Drug Control Agency (BPOM RI) such as Trihex, DMP, Double L, Irgaphan 20 mg, and Hexymer.
"This factory has no permit, but it produces and sells the prohibited potent drugs", Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police said.
In this case, three suspects are arrested. They are the producer and distributor of the illegal drug network of DIY - West Java - Jakarta - East Java - South Kalimantan.
The former Chief of North Sumatra Regional Police said that the produced and distributed potent drugs have harmful effects on people's health.
"These forbidden drugs could induce depression, concentration difficulties, anger-prone behaviours, and coordination disturbances such as walking or talking difficulties, seizures, anxiety, and hallucinations", Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police explained.
The three-star general explained that the case's discovery was started when the investigators conducted an early investigation on potent drug transactions in Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka, and Bekasi of West Java and East Jakarta.
From the said investigation, Police arrested Maskuri and other eight people who distributed the drugs. The investigators were then developing the case.
Chief of Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police stated that from Maskuri and his partners, they admitted that the potent drugs were produced in DIY. With that information, the investigators of the Criminal Investigation Agency coordinates with the DIY Regional Police to conduct further development.
Furthermore, the Director of the Drug Criminal Offence of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police, Police Brigadier General Krisno Halomoan Siregar, added that the factory, production factory, and the storing facility of the potent drugs were found by the investigators on September 21, 2021, around 23.00.
The factory and warehouse were found at the PGRI 1 Sonosewu street No. 158 of Ngestiharjo, Kasihan, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. On the location, personnel arrested a suspect named Wisnu Zulan. Then, they asked Ardi's statement as the witness. Besides finding the forbidden drugs, the personnel also found the machine used by the perpetrators to produce the drugs. Based on information gathered from the perpetrator and witness, the factory was led by someone named Leonardus Susanto Kincoro, a.k.a. Daud.
From the development, the investigators then arrested Daud in the Perum Griya Taman Mas, Karang Jati, Jetis hamlet, Taman Tirto village, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta.
From the information gathered, Daud owned another factory in a warehouse at Siliwangi road, West Ring Road, Pelem Gurih, Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta.
The Police then investigated the place suspected to be the illegal drug producer. On September 22, 2021, Police seized the factory and found potent drugs of Hexymer, Thirex, DMP, and Double L. Then, the Police seized the machine, ingredients, and boxes for ready-to-use medicines.
To the investigators, Daud said that the owner of all factories is Joko Slamet Riyadi Widodo, his brother.
"Then, we arrest Joko on September 22, 2021, at the KM 2 of Kabupaten road of Biru hamlet, Tri Hanggo village, Gamping district, Sleman regency, Yogyakarta", the Director of Drugs Criminal Offences of the Criminal Investigation Agency.
A few days later, Police arrested another perpetrator named Sri Astuti. The investigator determined her as the suspect. Sri took the role of the ingredient supplier for the drugs produced in the two factories.
"From the investigation of two suspects, the illegal potent drug factory was in operation for two years. In one day, it produced two million pills of many kinds of potent drugs", the one-star general said.
From the discovery, Police seized several evidence, such as one Colt Diesel truck with police number AB 8608 IS and 30,345,000 potent drugs pills packed into 1,200 boxes.
The Police also seized nine printing machines of Hexymer, DMP, and Double L, five drug oven machines, one cording/printing machine, 300 sacs of lactose weighed 800 kg, 100 kg of potent drug material, 500 brown boxes, and 500 empty bottles to store the powerful drugs.
The Director of Drugs Criminal Offences of the Criminal Investigation Agency of Indonesian National Police said that the suspects are subjected to Article 60 of Law No. 11 of 2020 about Job Creation of the amendment of Article 197 of Law No. 36 of 2009 about Health, a subsidiary of Article 196 and/or 198 of Law No. 36 of 2009 about Health, in relation to Article 55 of Indonesian Criminal Code. They were threatened with 15 years in prison and Rp1.5 billion fines, a subsidiary of 10 years in prison.
Besides, the suspects were also subjected to Article 60 of Law No. 5 of 1997 about Psychotropics and threatened with 15 years in prison and Rp200 million in fines.
