Conducting Merdeka Vaccination Programme, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police and Alodokter will Recruit Medical Volunteers

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police and Alodokter will recruit medical volunteers for the Merdeka Vaccination programme in order to help the government suppress Covis-19 transmission in Indonesia.

The programme, initiated by Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police and Alodokter, would be simultaneously commenced on August 1-17, 2021. The vaccination would be conducted on 900 Community Associations across Jakarta.

The medical volunteers consist of general practitioners, dentists, nurses, and midwives that are being trained and put into technical meetings between July 28-31, 2021, before conducting the task during the Merdeka Vaccination Movement.

Suci Arumsari, co-founder and director of Alodokter, said that during these hard times, people must be encouraged to unite and support vaccination acceleration programmes.

"We want to highly appreciate all medical workers who are struggling, and we also thank all medical volunteers helping this programme. There are still many people needed vaccines to minimise the risk of Covid-19 exposure. This is the time for us to take part because, if not us, who else?" Suci Arumsari said in the press statement in Jakarta on Wednesday (28/7/2021).

Meanwhile, Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Mohammad Fadil Imran, said that Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police would fully support this activity by providing required necessities and equipment.

Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said that with the support of medical workers and all walks of life, he is optimistic that this programme could run well and many people are being vaccinated in an effort to eradicate the Covid-19 pandemic.

"The vaccination is important. Not only protecting people from Covid-19 but also recover the state's socio-economic conditions and people affected by the pandemic. Let's get vaccinated at Merdeka Vaccination Booth!" Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police said.

Through Alomedika, a doctors community platform owned by Alodokter, the doctors have undergone periodical vaccinator training for the medical workers. Programmes conducted by Alodokter and Alomedika are hoped to support the government in the vaccination acceleration in the country.
