Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Semarang. Central Java Regional Police helped to pay tuition fee for 333 orphans whose parents died of Covid-19 in 35 districts/cities of Central Java.
Head of Public Affairs of Central Java Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner M Iqbal Alqudusy explained through Aku Sedulurmu program initiated by Central Java Regional Police, tuition fee of orphans impacted by Covid-19 will be provided from Elementary School (SD) to Senior High School (SMA) outside education assistance provided by Government.
Besides tuition fee, Central Java Regional Police will also pay for other costs such as uniforms, shoes, school equipment and for additional lessons.
"They will receive it in the form of education saving. These costs can be used flexibly for additional needs for stationery, books, practice fees and so on," Police Grand Commissioner M Iqbal Alqudusy explained, Wednesday (08/11/21).
Based on data collaborated and verified by Central Java Regional Police and related agencies, there are three districts with the most Covid-19 victims. They are Sukoharjo Regency with 33 children, Klaten Regency with 28 children, and Karanganyar Regency with 26 children.
"As for the districts/cities in Central Java that have zero Covid-19 orphans are Pekalongan Regency," the Central Java Regional Police Intermediate Officer said.
Head of Public Affairs of Central Java Regional Police added Aku Sedulurmu program is planned to be launched on Monday, August 16, 2021. At the event, Central Java Regional Police will invite orphans and their guardians to receive assistance in the form of education savings.
