Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 4, South Kalimantan Regional Police Guard the Borders Between Provinces

The South Kalimantan Police have restricted the mobility of people in a number of areas, especially the South Kalimantan-Central Kalimantan and South Kalimantan-Kaltim Borders. In order to protect and reduce the number of victims exposed to the Corona Virus or Covid-19 and anticipate its spread in the South Kalimantan Province.



Tightening regional borders by conducting inspections of the public, especially motorists who pass by, to anticipate the spread of Covid-19.
This was conveyed by the Head of Public Relations, Pol. Grand Commissioner Mochamad Rifa'I in Banjarmasin.



Apart from being carried out by National Police personnel, this activity was also carried out with members of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the Transportation Service, Municipal Police and the Task Force for the Prevention of the Spread of the Covid-19 Virus. In this activity, officers inspect all vehicles that cross the border between districts/cities and between provinces.



To ensure that everyone who enters the South Kalimantan area is free from Covid-19 by showing a personal identity card (domicile) or a certificate of place of work as a requirement. In addition, if you cannot fulfill the above, you can show a vaccine letter, as well as proof of a Covid-19 test such as PCR or Antigen, and you are required to wear a mask.



Document checks on motorists and community members in the context of Community Activity Restriction Enforcement Level 4 (PPKM), due to the high number of spreads and positive confirmed cases of Covid-19 in the South Kalimantan region.



In addition, this is a follow-up to the results of a meeting with the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum of South Kalimantan Province and Regency/City, which agreed to conduct inspections on motorists and the public.



The Head of Public Relations of South Kalimantan Regional Police also appealed to the entire community to always comply with the health protocols (Prokes) by implementing the 5M (washing hands with soap/hand sanitizer, wearing masks, maintaining distance, avoiding crowds and limiting mobility.
