Tribratanews.polri.go.id. - Jakarta. Indonesia House of Representative positively responded to the establishment of the Drug Resilient Village initiated by the Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, regarding the increase of drug trafficking in Indonesia.

Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives, Supriansa,, said Drug Resilient Village is a smart idea of Chief of Indonesia National Police to protect the public from the dangers of drugs.

"We really appreciate the smart idea of the Chief of Indonesia National Police to make a strong defence to prevent illicit drug trafficking in community, by initiating Drug Resilient Village," the member of Commission III of the House of Representatives said.

He mentioned drugs are indeed very damaging and worrying because they destroy people's lives, especially the next generation. That’s why the government has declared war on drugs.

"That means we have to spend all the strength of the nation to fight against illicit drug trafficking," he said.

The same thing was also mentioned by another member of Commission III of the Indonesia House of Representative, H. Santoso., who agreed with the establishment of the Drug Resilient Village as a real step from the police to fight against drugs.

"I strongly agree, drugs are the enemy of the nation, it’s just not a slogan, but must be proven by concrete actions, like the establishment of a Drug Resilient Village throughout Indonesia," he said.

Currently, he said, drug trafficking is increasingly worrying and even chronic. Almost all areas have been penetrated by drugs.

"Not only in big cities, but drugs have also entered the villages. Therefore, eradication must be massive and synergistic between law enforcement and the community," he said.
