In commemorating the 76th anniversary of the Mobile Brigade Corps (Korps Brimob) of the Indonesian National Police, the Brimob Unit of Riau Regional Police conducted social service in worship places such as Al-Hakim Fastabiqul Khairat mosque and Jagat Natha Hindu’ Great Temple of Pekanbaru on Tuesday (26/10/2021).
Commander of Brimob Unit of Riau Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Dedi Suryadi, said that social service in worship places in gratitude to God because in its 76 years of age, Brimob has become more glorious and adored by the people.
The peak of the commemoration of the 76th anniversary of the Brimob Corps of Indonesian National Police would be on November 14, 2021, and, in the context to celebrate it, the Brimob Unit of Riau Regional Police would conduct activities such as social service in worship places.
"Those social service activities will be conducted as the form of service of the Brimob Corps of Indonesian National Police to the people", the Commander of the Brimob Unit of Riau Regional Police said.
Social service in the form of cleaning worship places is one of the activities to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the Brimob Corps of Indonesian National Police.
The cleaning activity is also a form of service of Brimob to the people. He hoped that this activity could be beneficial, especially for the people worshipping in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The social service in the form of cleaning the worship place also aims to suppress Covid-19 transmission, especially in the worship places of Pekanbaru, which are often visited by the public.
