The PCR test service is provided free of charge for people born on August 17 and can only be proven by a personal identity card (KTP).
Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Police, Pol. Grand Commissioner Supriadi explained that the Covid-19 PCR test service was carried out on August 17 from 00:00 AM to 11:59 PM. The implementation of free PCR test services to the public specifically on Independence Day in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic is the same as usual.
The public reports to the counter officer for requesting PCR test services by obeying health protocols and showing their identity cards. After the registration process is carried out, people whose data is verified as born on August 17 are given a 100% discount on hospital service fees, so there is no need to pay a single rupiah.
Special services to people born on Independence Day are also provided for applications for a new Driver License and an extension of the validity period at the regional unit or Polres. For people whose data is recorded as being born on August 17, they will be given special services without having to pay any money.
