Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Commemorating 76th Indonesian Independence Day, Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police held the Vaksinasi Merdeka (Merdeka Vaccination) programme from August 1 to 17, 2021.
Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Fadil Imran, said that 900 booths for Vaksinasi Merdeka had been build at each Community Associations in Jakarta. The programme targets all Jakartans to be already vaccinated by August 17.
"Just open your door and get vaccinated. No barrier to entry because it is quite close. The community would be involved, and there would be no one missed", the two-star general said at the Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police Headquarter on Friday (30/07/21).
Chief of Greater Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police explained that Vaksinasi Merdeka targets 3,060,000 Jakartans that would be inoculated. This number, according to him, is the remaining unvaccinated Jakartans.
"We also would conduct second dose vaccination from August 28 to September 13. Therefore, we want to finish not only the first dose, but Vaksinasi Merdeka would vaccinate the second dose as well with the same amount of target", Police Inspector General Fadil Imran said.
