People living around Terminal 2 of Juanda International Airport enthusiastically attended the mass vaccination event, starting from the general public to students who are orderly queueing to get vaccinated. This vaccination event was inspected directly by Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces, Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto, Chief of Indonesian National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, Chief of Staff of Indonesian Navy, Armed Forces Admiral Yudo Margono and accompanied by Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Commander of 5th/Brawijaya Military District, Armed Forces Major General Suharyanto, and Chief of East Java Regional Police, Police Inspector General Nico Afinta.
In Surabaya, the Commander of the Armed Forces and Chief of Indonesian National Police inspected vaccination events at two locations: Terminal 2 of Juanda International Airport and THOR Stadium of Surabaya. The vaccination in Juanda Airport targeted 2,000 people.
Meanwhile, the Governor of East Java thanked the support provided by Armed Forces and Police in the herd immunity formation through the mass vaccination event. "Thank you for the never-ending support from the Commander of the Armed Forces, Chief of Indonesian National Police, and also by the Chief of Staff of Indonesian Navy", East Java Governor said.
East Java Governor also advised the unvaccinated people to utilise mass vaccination events that become easier to reach. And, for the vaccinated ones, the governor also reminds them to keep observing Health Protocols. "Thank God, the vaccination acceleration is intensifying. Health Protocols are still being enforced. May herd immunity could be materialised", she hoped.
Some of the vaccination participants are students. Just like Andika, who even invited his friends to get vaccinated. "Because we are in the Covid-19 (pandemic), and one of the ways to prevent it is through vaccination. For everyone who is unvaccinated yet, get vaccinated to help everyone handling the pandemic", he said.
He not only hoped to be healthy after being vaccinated but also for the school to conduct activities as they used to, not only hybrid methods but offline methods. "I hope that this online learning could be ended", the student of 3 Public Vocational High School of Buduran said.
There are 2,000 doses being prepared for the communities, students, and the families of Armed Forces-Police around the Juanda Airport with the support of 84 health workers from the Health Agency, Armed Forces, Police, and volunteers.
