Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Chief of Indonesia National Police, Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo directly inspected Covid-19 mass vaccination at the Muhammadiyah Da'wah Center Building, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday (07/29/2021). This activity is a collaboration between PP Muhammadiyah with Indonesia National Police and Jakarta Provincial Health Agency.
Sigit felt optimist about the immediate formation of Herd Immunity or group immunity against corona virus, considering there is cooperation between Indonesia National Police and Muhammadiyah across Indonesia to accelerate vaccination.
"Praise to the Lord, this collaboration has been going for some time. There have been 20 to 27 activities in approximately twenty regions. Of course this is very helpful in accelerating vaccination activity," Sigit said at Muhammadiyah Da'wah Center Building, Menteng, Central Jakarta.
Vaccination activity at Commandments Centre (PP) of Muhammadiyah itself began on July 28 and 29, 2021. The vaccination target is PP Muhammadiyah along with assemblies, institutions, autonomous organizations, large Muhammadiyah family and general public amounted 1,000 people, with target of 500 people per day.
With the same spirit, Sigit will later instruct all Chiefs of Regional Police to cooperate with all elements of Muhammadiyah to accelerate vaccination.
"Therefore, in the future we will continue to carry out joint activity in accelerating vaccination throughout the region. And later I will also ask the entire Chiefs of Regional Police to cooperate with all Muhammadiyah colleagues in all regions. So that strength is formed to synergize in accelerating vaccination," Sigit said.
According to the former Chief of Banten Regional Police, besides being spread throughout Indonesia, Muhammadiyah also has qualified health workers, so they can be vaccinator. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen collaboration to accelerate vaccination.
"Praise to the Lord, we are happy because Muhammadiyah has a lot of health workers, that of course we can cooperate with to accelerate vaccination," Sigit said.
Sigit emphasized in order to accelerate vaccination to form Herd Immunity, cooperation or synergy with all community organizations, youth and all elements of society is needed.
Therefore, Sigit appreciates PP Muhammadiyah for being actively involved in achieving the target of accelerating vaccination in Indonesia.
"To create Herd Immunity, it will certainly run better if all elements of mass organizations, youth organizations can be involved," Sigit said.
On the other hand, Sigit again reminds the public to continue to comply with health protocols even though the vaccine has been injected. This is still one of the efforts to prevent the spread of corona virus.
"Keep wearing masks, keep your distance and follow the instructions regarding the rules for carrying out health protocols and those who have not been vaccinated, immediately be vaccinated," Sigit said.
Meanwhile, General Secretary (Sekum) of PP Muhammadiyah Abdul Mu'ti mentioned vaccination collaboration with Indonesia National Police has been implemented in more than 20 provinces.
"We have collaborated in several places, for example in West Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara and in several Sector Police in Jakarta and its surroundings. We are of course very grateful for the trust given by Indonesia National Police to Muhammadiyah, especially in the implementation of vaccinations at PP Muhammadiyah," Mu'ti said on the same occasion.
In vaccination activity, Mu'ti said at least 76 Muhammadiyah Hospitals had been involved. Not only vaccines, Mu'ti said, his party also carries out other programs, including counseling and services provided directly, such as health counseling, psychological consultation and mental and spiritual resilience.
"Because the pandemic is not only pure health, but there are many impacts, especially those related to mental, spiritual and economic health. I hope we can improve this collaboration. The team on duty is from Jakarta Islamic Hospital alliance. We received information those who have vaccinated received 2 tons of rice from Chief of Indonesia National Police. We will distribute it to participants. This is a joint team with Muhammadiyah Hospital and Indonesia National Police," Mu'ti concluded.
