Closes Integration Basic Education, National Police Chief Affirms National Armed Forces and National Police Synergy is Key to Success in Facing Various Threats

National Armed Forces Commander Marshal Hadi Tjahjanto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo closed the Basic Education (Diksar) Integration Partnership between the Military Academy and the Police Academy, at the Magelang Military Academy, Central Java, Thursday (10/28/2021).

In his delivery, Sigit asserted, this Basic Education aims to foster synergy and solidity of the National Armed Forces and National Police personnel from an early age. According to Sigit, these two things are the keys to success in dealing with all forms of threats to the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

"Of course, this synergy and solidity continue to be built from the beginning and until whenever this is a strength that must be maintained. Because the main key to success in dealing with threats to state sovereignty, outside and within the country as well as the threat of Community Police Officers, is the main key to success against these threats, solidity and synergy," said Sigit.

One clear evidence of the success of synergy and solidity is related to the handling of the Covid-19 Pandemic, where the National Armed Forces and National Police and other stakeholders are entrusted with being the frontline. With synergy and solidity, Sigit stated, the growth rate of the coronavirus can be suppressed at this time. Thus, Indonesia is ranked first in Southeast Asia in terms of handling the Coronavirus pandemic.

"This has been proven in the face of several existing threats, including lastly how the synergy and solidity of the National Armed Forces and National Police as the front guard, of course, with other stakeholders, together overcome the Covid-19 Pandemic. Furthermore, Alhamdulillah, today we are in the number 1 position for the best handling of the Covid-19 rate in Southeast Asia. This is the common capital that we must continue to protect," said Sigit.

The former Banten Regional Police Chief explained that this integration of Basic Education also aims to create superior Human Resources (HR) to realize an advanced, superior and growing Indonesia. As, the ideals of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"The President has always said that our main key is to be able to become an advanced Indonesia, superior Indonesia, and Indonesia growing, of course, it must be filled with superior human resources," said the former Police Criminal Investigation Officer.

Sigit further stated that during the Integration Basic Education, National Armed Forces and National Police cadets and cadets were educated to be developed as superior human resources. Thus, he can become a figure of a state servant who has professionalism, tested character and a strong leadership spirit.

"And this is needed by colleagues in leading, implementing and practising all that they can for the implementation of future tasks. You are the generation and future leaders who will lead our nation to enter the golden generation of Indonesia Emas in 2045," said Sigit.

Therefore, Sigit hopes that students will take part in education well to be used as provisions for the future. According to him, being a civil servant will face various dynamics in the process. So, you must absorb the knowledge taught to become a prominent figure of a servant of the state and with integrity.

"Take advantage of the opportunities that exist to absorb knowledge as high as possible, don't waste it because four years is a long time, but also a short time for someone who wants to absorb knowledge. Because the journey of people who continue to learn will continue. So don't waste your time," said Sigit.

Sigit revealed that National Armed Forces and National Police cadets must also prepare mentally, be disciplined and not commit violations. Thus, from the beginning, a commendable character was formed.

That way, according to Sigit, when he goes to the field, he will be ready to face all kinds of challenges. Furthermore, knowing which actions and behaviours are good or not.

Because when they go to the field later, continued Sigit, the cadets and cadets will carry their names and the dignity of the National Armed Forces and National Police institutions. Therefore, carry out duties properly and commendably and avoid violations that can damage the organization's good name.

"Therefore, do the best, commendable things, avoid violations. Because you are now in the public spotlight, your every behaviour will be followed by the public, so your colour will colour the National Armed Forces and National Police organization," said Sigit.

On the other hand, Sigit also asked the cadets and cadets to take advantage of technological advances to be positive things. Sigit hopes that there must be wisdom in all forms of actions and behaviour with the current disclosure of information.

"Therefore, in the current era of information technology, watch your behaviour, fill it with positive things. So that people understand and understand the life of cadets from the side that is understood by the community. Carve with achievements, take advantage of the development of information technology to convey this to the public, if you are the best candidate for soldiers who are prepared to face the era to come," said Sigit.

To note, the activities of the Diksar for Integration of the Partnership between the National Armed Forces Academy and the Police Academy were attended by 982 cadets. The details are 449 Army cadets, 190 Navy cadets, 140 Air Force cadets, and 203 Bhayangkara cadets of the Police Academy.
