Chief of West Papua Regional Police Visited South Sorong Resort Police, to Advise the Team Member to Avoid Alcoholic Drinks

Tornagogo Sihombing, together with the Chairman of Bhayangkari West Papua, Mrs. Martha Tornagogo Sihombing conducted working visit to the South Sorong Resort Police. When they arrived at the South Sorong Resort Police Station, the Chief of West Papua Regional Police and his entourage were welcomed by local dances and presented with noken by the Head of Watershed, Mikael Momot, followed bya friendly greeting with Regional Leader Forum (Forkopimda) in Sorong Regency.

In the event, the Chief of South Sorong Resort Police, Police Grand Commissioner Attendant Sahat Siregar, presented a report on the South Sorong Police Unit for the period 2020 to May 2021.

The Chief of West Papua Regional Police expressed his gratitude for the dedication and performance of the South Sorong Resort Police, especially regarding the regional election in South Sorong which ran well. In addition, the South Sorong Resort Police was also appreciated for being able to maintain community security and order (Kantibmas) during the New Year Christmas celebrations and Eid, that was safe and conducive. They also received positive response from the community.

The West Papua Regional Police expects to eliminate the culture of drinking alcoholic and make violations including desertion, which can damage the image of the Police. For this reason, if there are members who violate the rules, strict action must be taken.

"Every member of the South Sorong Resort Police can serve the community well and sincerely and there should be no specific intentions that can hurt the public's heart. The South Sorong Resort Police together with the Sector Police and need to maintain the good image of the Police by always creating new innovations to provide good quality of public services so the community will always love us the Chief of West Papua Regional Police concluded.
