"We did door to door by handing over to several people who were doing self-isolation in the jurisdiction of Sako District," Chief of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Inspector General Eko Indra Heri S accompanied by South Sumatera Regional Police High Rank Officers said.
On this occasion he together with Acting Regional Super Intendent, Police Grand Commissioner Gandung W, Deputy Director of Community Development, Police Superintendent Azam Himawan, Head of Medical and Health Unit of South Sumatera Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Samsul Bahar, provided nine-basic-needs assistance to community in Sukamaju sub-district, Sako district, Palembang.
"We want to ensure this assistance is received directly by the people affected by Covid-19 pandemic and right on target," he admitted.
He ensured this was not the first and last thing to be done, his party together with Indonesia National Armed Forces, Regional Government, Village Leadership NCO and Community Police Officer as the front guard will continue to distribute to Regencies/Districts in South Sumatera. "We hope the assistance we provide will be useful, and we urge public to continue to carry out Covid 19 health protocols diligently, that is to wash their hands with soap, keep a distance, wear masks, avoid crowd and always pray that Covid 19 will soon disappear from the face of the Earth,” he said.
