Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police Monitored Vaccination and Delivered Packages of Nine-Basic-Needs to Ummul Mukminin Aisyah Islamic Boarding School

Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Banda Aceh. Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Merdisyam attended Covid-19 vaccination at Ummul Mukminin Islamic Boarding School Aisyah Southeast Sulawesi, KH Jabbar Asyri Street, Makassar, Thursday (07/29/21).

Vaccination at Ummul Mukminin Islamic Boarding School Aisyah Southeast Sulawesi is aimed for community and Islamic boarding schools members, ustadz, and students and 500 doses of vaccine were prepared.

Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Merdisyam said the challenge in implementing National Vaccination program was the massive amount of misleading information related to vaccinations. The misleading information is obstacle in meeting vaccination targets.

"Don't believe this hoax about vaccines and let's invite all elements of society, leaders to educate public about the importance of vaccines and health protocols," the two-star General explained.

"I invite religious leaders and all elements of society to help educating the public in implementing health protocol disciplines, including socializing good understanding and approaches related to vaccination," he hoped.

Separately, Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan explained the vaccination activity at Ummul Mukminin Aisyah Islamic Boarding School was carried out to succeed government's program in conducting mass vaccinations for Indonesian citizens, so Indonesia would be free from Covid-19 virus pandemic, especially among Islamic boarding schools.

According to the Intermediate Officer of South Sulawesi Regional Police, the vaccination activity at Ummul Mukminin Aisyah Islamic Boarding School in Makassar is joint effort to protect people living near pesantren in general from the exposure of Covid-19 virus and reduce severity of symptoms if exposed.

"I hope this event can be held smoothly and can provide benefits to wider community in general, and NU member in particular, to be able to achieve herd immunity. It is hoped the Indonesian nation will soon be free from Covid-19 virus outbreak," Head of Public Affairs of South Sulawesi Regional Police said.

In the implementation of Covid-19 vaccination at the Ummul Mukminin Islamic Boarding School Aisyah, South Sulawesi, social assistance was also distributed to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 1991 Police Academy Alumni service.

Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Merdisyam directly distributed 500 packages of social assistance to representatives of students.

This is also Presidential Instruction, that the Indonesia National Police has been ordered to oversee and distribute Social Assistance to people affected by Covid 19

"Today, we are distributing 500 packages of social assistance to community as the expression of gratitude for 30 years of 1991 Police Academy alumni serving the state and society," , Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan concluded.
