Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Inspector General Merdisyam, inspected mass vaccination and social service events held by 1995 Police Academy Alumni Patriatama Berbhakti, in the Command Headquarter of Mobile Brigade Unit in KS Tubun street, Makassar, on Friday (03/09/21).
The event, titled "1995 Police Academy Alumni Patriatama Berbhakti During the Pandemic", was also attended by Chief of Indonesian National Police, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, by video conference at the Bina Sarana Informatika college in Lingkar Utara road No. 8, RT 008/007, Perwira subdistrict, North Bekasi district.
Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police delivered a tremendous appreciation for the 1995 Police Academy Alumni who have helped government programmes in accelerating vaccination South Sulawesi.
"This event commenced for two days, injecting 3,000 Covid-19 doses and targeting students, santris (Islamic boarding school students), and people unable to attend the vaccination locations such as people with disabilities and the elderly", Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police said.
Meanwhile, Chief of PR and Press Agency of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner E Zulpan, as the representatives of the 1995 Police Academy Alumni, said that this event is to commemorate their 26 years of service to the public.
"And this event is also our form of care in helping the government accelerating Covid-19 handling and helping people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic". Chief of PR and Press Agency of South Sulawesi Regional Police continued.
Chief of PR and Press Agency of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner E Zulpan, added that the Chief of Indonesian National Police provides the opportunity to all classes in Police to contributed to realising vaccination acceleration so that the government's target on herd immunity could be achieved, just like instruction from the Indonesian President.
During the vaccination event, the Chief of South Sulawesi Regional Police also distributed refill oxygen voucher from the Samator Gas Industri Ltd, and it would be distributed to five locations such as South Sulawesi Regional Police Clinic, Bhayangkara Clinic of Panaikang, Teratai Clinic of Mobile Brigade Unit of South Sulawesi Regional Police, Jongaya Public Health Centre, and Dahlia Public Health Centre.
