Tribratanews.polri.go.id - Banjarmasin.Chief of South Kalimantan Regional Police, Police Inspector General Rikwanto reminded officers in the field to remain humanist when enforcing the rules of PPKM (Community Activity Restriction) Level IV, which start to be implementing Monday (07/26) in Banjarmasin and Banjarbaru City.
"For officers in the field, don't be arrogant. Arrogance will cause unnecessary incidents in the field," Police Inspector General Rikwanto explained, in Banjarmasin, Sunday, (07/26/21).
According to the Two Star General, community’s psychological condition must also be understood at this time. Pandemic has impacted people, especially in terms of economy.
For this reason, it is important for officers to take a heart-to-heart approach, so public understands the rules that are now being enforced for mutual safety from the threat of Covid-19.
"I believe if we approach the public with good explanation and understanding, good communication, then the rules applied by government can be accepted," the 1988 Indonesian Armed Forces Academy said.
Likewise for the community, Chief of South Kalimantan Regional Police expects their compliance. Do not let the rules that have been set are violated or ignored. Because it is clear, those who violate will be disciplined.
Former Chief of Maluku Regional Police explained in order to reduce people mobility, there are non-essential, essential and critical sectors that have been regulated in PPKM Level IV.
"So if there are no important and urgent matters, it's better to stay at home. Instead of having to be turned around by officers or be dealt with when enforcing health protocols. Let's support this policy together in order to suppress the transmission of Covid-19, which is currently increasing in cases," Police Inspector General Rikwanto said.
PPKM Level IV takes effect from Monday (07/26) to August 8, 2021. The regulations include 100 percent online schools, 50 percent offices, 75 percent non-essentials, 100 percent essential and critical work in offices with strict health protocols.
