Chief of Sota Sectoral Police of Merauke Gives Aid and Educates Covid-19 Protocols to Suppress Covid Numbers in Papua

Chief of Sota Sectoral Police, Police Commissioner Attendant Makruf Suroto, accompanied by picket members, visits people in the Indonesian - Papua New Guinea border on Wednesday (28/7/2021).

The visitation to Kokoyam hamlet, Sota village, Sota district is in the context of giving education on public security and order and inspect people leaving for Sota village to live in this hamlet.

"As information, Kokoyam hamlet is the place where villagers go to look for eucalyptus and maintain the sago tree", Police Commissioner Attendant Makruf Suroto said.

During the event, the Chief of Sota Sectoral Police appeals to the people to adhere to Health Protocols in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic, not burn the forest during the dry season, and maintain natural sustainability. "Yes. We also distribute face masks to the villagers and some aids to the people. Hope it is beneficial to them", he said.

"This event is conducted so that people can maintain public security and order, and any small incident that occurs could be reported to the Police", Police Commissioner Attendant Makruf Suroto concluded.
